293 – Hot Flashes

I started getting hot flashes much too early in life, long before I discovered these wonderful oils. The Lord prompted me to do a cleansing fast. When I finally obeyed, I found one of the many benefits was no more hot flashes. That lasted for years, but when they started returning I would do another season of fasting and they would go. From those many victories, I decided that the hot flashes had a correlation with toxicity. There was a season when the fasting was not bringing the normal victory and I found one drop of Myrrh oil on my face in the evening eliminated them. Now we have our wonderful PP Serum. But I did want those of you to know that fasting may help with continued problems. One of the things the Lord told me when I was doing my original cleansing fast was that His word says that He HAS provided a way of escape. Fasting is one of those ways/tools that we can often use to bring victories, but few people are willing to take this road. If I had the wisdom of these wonderful oils during that season of my life, I would have used them during the cleansing fast, and I know I would have had even greater victories.

I’ve been following Dr. Deardeuff’s recommendations using PP with Ultra Young and Femigen, plus a few other items. I cannot take PP without Femigen – makes me like on continual PMS without it. I was using PP several times a day in the beginning and have backed off to three or four times a day now and take two Femigen daily with two Cortistop, Ultra young followed bySacred Frankincense.

When I ran out of Femigen, I noticed a difference in the regimen without it.

In regard to the hot flashes, Clary Sage mixed with water and used as a spray is the best I have ever found. I use it many times a day. Mix about 20 drops in a small spray bottle of water and spray neck and chest. The hot flashes are gone almost immediately.

I was using the P+ with great success for several months….then hot flashes increased so I increased P+ not knowing what else to do…the hot flashes continued to increase …..like 20+ a day! Then on Dr. Dan’s facebook page he made the suggestion of balancing with the list you mentioned…I picked Estro, I take it twice a day and am back to 3 drops of P+ on my forearms twice a day as well and I rarely have a hot flash at all! I love it.

292 – Shin Splints

When my shin splints act up, I use Peppermint, Valor, Pan Away & Deep Relief on them. I have found that since I started taking BLM, they don’t act up as much as they used to.

Sulferzyme seems to help too. Which will also help a sprain but I don’t put
cold on shin splints.

I find that Purification, lemongrass, palo santo, and peppermint work for me. You can make a spray or put them on straight–one or all four. Be careful not to get the oils near your eyes.

When we were in Ecuador the palo santo worked very well. I even put it on the sheets in our hotel room, just in case.

290 – Mosquito Repellent Formula

One thing I learned at the Master Leaders’ Retreat in Ecuador was to use the Ecuador oils first or in combination with other oils. Gary Young has done extensive testing on these oils and they are extremely potent.

The best oils for bug repellents that would come from Ecuador would be:

peppermint
palo santo
lemongrass

289 – Diabetes

My husband was diagnosed with diabetes in March. His sugar was 335 and was going up and down every day. One time when he tested his sugar it was 465. He was very sick. We started using cinnamon drops in the clear capsules, I did the raindrop on him and he used ocotea and we also bought food grade Chromium from choosetobehealthy.com. He was taking 4 chromium 3X per day and increased to 6X per day. Now he is back to 2 chromium 3X per day when he remembers to take it. (This information is not intended to give out medical instructions. This is just what we did. People are different so be careful what you do.)

He started hurting in his hands and feet so we started the NingXia Red and again, when he remembers to take it he does not have pain in his hands and feet.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS WITH CHROMIUM PICOLINATE IT WILL KILL YOU! FOOD GRADE CHROMIUM IS FOOD! AGAIN….

We only used the FOOD GRADE CHROMIUM from choosetobehealthy.com.

His sugar has gone to 120. Sometimes it still goes to 190, but I think that is on the days he forgets to do the cinnamon and ocotea essential oil and chromium. He has not changed his diet other than cutting out soft drinks.

And just so you know I do not benefit from anyone buying chromium from the website I mentioned above. I am just thankful for them as well as the Young Living oils.

I used to get floaters occasionally. A drop of Frankincense
around the eye gets rid of them in a matter of moments for me. I also found
that when I stopped drinking diet soda that I didn’t have the floaters
anymore.

I used Frankincense and Ningxia Red to help eliminate my floaters.
I applied Frankincense around the eyes and then rubbed my palms together and cupped them over the eyes with eyes open. Circle the eyes around slowly ..clockwise and counter clockwise , upward and down and side to side as you breathe in the Frankincense and let it permeate to all parts of your eyes.. I did this for a few minutes morning and night. It did take some length of time and I have been floater free for 18 months. I also do this occasionally for maintenance.

I had had floaters for at least 20 years when I started with Young Living
in 1999 so I know how annoying they can be. One of the first oils I started
using was Frankincense around the eyes as I had read testimonials from
people who had eliminated floaters by using Frankincense. It did for me too.
Occasionally since then I’ll notice a floater or two and a couple of days of
Frankincense around the eyes takes care of it.
As with anything dealing with the oils, this is an individual matter. I
used Frankincense full strength. For anyone new to the oils or who has used
commercial personal care products, makeup around the eyes, or medications
prior to recently learning about and starting to use the oils, I would suggest
diluting it first. Adjust according to what your body wants and can
handle. Common sense and caution are always wise.

I put the oil on the end of my finger and spread it around the eye on the
bony part of the eye socket. That means near the eyebrow above the eye.
Remember that the eyelids keep opening and closing and in doing so come VERY
close to touching the skin near the eyebrow. So keep the oil ABOVE that or
you may find the oil getting on the eyelashes and into the eye. Not pleasant
but it doesn’t last long. If it happens, some butter or vegetable oil on
the edge of the eyelid will help. Also be careful NOT to get the oil near the
outside edge of the eye lid or it will ‘leak’/spread into the crease where
the upper and lower lids meet. Truly it takes only a tiny, tiny amount.

My Mother was having to go to her eye Dr. every four months due to borderline pressure issues. The Dr. had put her on some vitamins (lutein I believe). After researching I discovered that the eye also needs zeaxanthin. I started her on Ningxia Red. After about 18 months or so, she went in for her appointment. At some point during her exam, she told the Dr. that her floaters were gone. The Dr. was amazed. After the exam Mom was told that everything looked great and to come back in one year! We just looked at each other in amazement. Even the pressure issue must have improved.

I just wanted to comment to the group about Frankincense suggestion for floaters and started circling my eyes that night because all my life I have had floaters and they can drive you crazy at times. Well I am here to tell you it works. Within even a couple of hours I could tell the difference with a decrease of 50% and about a week later maybe 80% improved. I also think there is an improvement in my vision, also with more vivid colors. WOW!!! Thanks you both parties—-one for asking and to the person responding.

Hi Everyone, Here is a weird remedy and since I’m an avid oiler, it was tough for me to suggest it…have you tried putting a bar of Ivory soap in your bed for restless leg syndrome? I heard of it and it’s amazing effect of calming legs completely, since I don’t have that problem I suggested it to a couple of my clients…one woman has suffered her husband’s kicking and jumping for 30 years…it stopped completely the second night the soap was in the bed. Anyone know the frequency of Ivory Soap? I bet if you found a rock with the same frequency it would also work. What about a bottle of Peace & Calming? The oils will work even when in the bottle. Well, I was fascinated when I read that a bar of soap had this ability – sort of boggled my mind! Bill’s suggestion that frequency is the element that creates this relief for restless leg is a plausible theory – I think it would be great if someone who suffers with this could test this out – a bar of soap for a week or two, and a bottle of oils – just to see if that is truly what is behind the “magic.” If anyone is game…let us know the results! Reading in the product guide it says massaged onto the legs helps with restless leg syndrome. The doctors say my mom has this and wants to put her on yet another medication. Both she and I are against the additional prescription. So, I thought I’d offer her some Peace and Calming (goddess knows I need some myself, haha!) in V-6 oil to rub onto her legs at night as the product guide suggests. Mom has diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart trouble. She’s also on anti-depressants and cholesterol meds. I really want to introduce her to essential oils, but am leery of giving her anything that interacts with these meds (and there are a bunch). Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Blessings, Mary

Don’t worry about Peace and Calming interacting with drugs. But I wanted to say that years and years ago, doctors used to tell people to increase their vitamin E for Restless legs. It worked. But, gee, Vitamin E can be sold over the counter and it wasn’t very profitable to the drug companies. Sigh. Another thing to relax restless legs is a nice relaxing bath in Epsom Salts and Lavender or Marjoram. (Sometimes restless legs are caused because the low back needs to be adjusted.) Hi Mary!! My aunt suffers from what she calls “jumpy” legs and has had trouble sleeping because of this. She has not been diagnosed with restless leg syndrome….but it sure seems like that what she has. She took an 8oz spray bottle…filled with water and 4 drops lavender oil. Each night she lightly mists her legs….and she has been sleeping well ever since. She has been doing this every night for 6 months now…and says it has never failed to calm her “jumpy” legs. Mary, Your mother most likely could avoid more drugs for restless legs by taking magnesium. Even if she is taking vitamins and minerals that have it in it, it probably isn’t enough. Take a magnesium supplement by itself in the evening. Diabetics and athletes especially have a higher need for that mineral than most people do. Many magnesium supplements can cause diarrhea, so just adjust the amount. I use magnesium oil on my skin and have sent messages on it several times. The magnesium used this way gets directly into the cells. You decide on either supplements or oil, but magnesium is probably what is most lacking. I will post the website if you want to read more about diabetes and magnesium – www.imva.info. I can promise you that it is well worth reading! Just a note before I sign off. A close friend of mine has had diabetes for 22 years. She hasn’t been able to bring down her blood sugar in two years and her blood pressure is always high. Her legs were painful when she walked just a short distance, plus in the evening she couldn’t sleep due to the restless leg problem. She started using the magnesium oil daily. Her blood sugar is reading normal and her blood sugar is now normal, plus her leg pain is gone. I get Restless Leg Syndrome when I’m pregnant, so I’m not sure how it compares to people who have it all the time. Palo Santo wasn’t out then, so I don’t know if it works. I do know that Peace and Calming took care of it for me. I rubbed a drop on each foot and up my legs before bed and had no problems with jumpy legs. If I didn’t… well, I had to do it in the middle of the night! I have heard of others who use Lavender, but that wasn’t as effective for me. When I first came into Young Living, I had terrible Restless Leg, I was on medication for it. I was told by my upline, Susan Pottish, to use Mineral Essence, 3 droppers full, 3 times a day. I did and within 3 days my restless leg was gone and has never returned. I had had it for over 3 years and it was severe. 286 – Horse: Proud Flesh

Question:

One of my horses injured her leg – how we don’t know, but she’s lost all the
skin in an area about the size between a golf and tennis ball. She’s growing
proud flesh of course to close up the wound.

Vet came out yesterday and said to not use anything on it just yet to slow
down the proud flesh growth until all of the holes close up.

Any recommendations on how you’ve dealt with this before? I hate the
thought of having to remove the proud flesh after the holes are filled in.

My horse had a small gash on his hip (from going into his stall too quickly and caught himself on the sliding bolt latch). It was fairly deep, maybe 1/2 inch or so and about three inches long – some may have thought he’d need stitches.

Anyway, I used Animal Scents ointment and LavaDerm. First I sprayed the LavaDerm then applied a decent amount of ointment in and around the gash twice a day for about three days then I applied once a day. It was healing within the first few days and didn’t develop proud flesh, no scarring and no white hairs!!

I’ve used this another time on his chest. It looked like he had a small puncture in his chest, maybe from a branch or something out in the pasture. I had the same great result.

Dr. Young used Melrose on a horse when a mountain lion took a chunk of flesh out of its hind quarter. The wound healed with almost no trace. Your vet doesn’t understand oils. This will be a wonderful teaching opportunity.

Raindrop Technique does work wonderfully for Lyme. Oral use of oils such as Oregano, Inner Defense, Mountain Savory… Also very good. I have known many people and animals that do not respond at all to Doxycycline – but who have responded to oils. I am not always convinced of the diagnosis being accurate. That is where EO’s shine – they don’t care what the bacteria or disease is called -they go in and correct it. Whether it is “Lyme” or not.
