“I had a horrible cough for 3 months and finally defined it as my mattress.
So I eliminated bed bugs (or something in my mattress) by spraying Thieves
cleaner, eucalyptus and purification. Took the same process and used it in
my laundry for my bed clothes and PJ’s.” ~Vivian in Kentucky

“I heard Janet on a Minneapolis radio station and decided to try the Bed Bug
Busters kit with Amazon oils. It seems to be working all right!” ~ Jon K.,

Dust Mites and Bed bugs Put a couple of drops of lemongrass oil in a spray
bottle with some water and spray air, sheets & blankets between changes
(remembering to shake bottle often). Helps with dust mites or bed bugs they
say are there but you cannot see. It feels great. I also spray sofa
cushions, area rugs, etc. Now, I don’t think I have ‘bed bugs’ but it
sounded like a great way to freshen up linens. I’ve tried it and it does
smell wonderful. Monica P

Hi, One of the early training tapes 1=60 Gary talked about bed bugs. I think
he used Thieves, Purification and Melrose. I don’t remember the procedure.

Allergies & dark circles under eyes:
Coming from my integrative medicine perspective I look at everything as an
investigator. Allergies are usually related to exposure to things in the
environment and things we ingest. These shiners (dark circles under eyes)
are there because there is “congestion” in the area so what causes
“congestion”? Inflammation and/or obstruction of the flow of fluids in the
head (your head is just full of flowing fluids). One can lead to the other
so attack them both. To improve the obstructive process one might do cranial
sacral, chiropractic or raindrop therapy and of course using Valor can help
improve the alignment. Inflammation can be caused from a whole gamete of
things with main ones being exposure to dust mites, pet dander, smoke or
mold and cockroach droppings (this is actually linked to Asthma). Dust mites
are such a common one so make they aren’t sleeping on old pillows, feather
pillows or old mattresses and that the room is as dust free as possible.

We’ve never had bed bug bites that I know of. But they say that mites are in
pillows, beds etc. So just the thought creeps me out. I do use Eucalyptus
Globulous routinely when washing our bedding. I just add several drops to
the wash cycle. We never have any problems and it just makes me feel better.
I also use it when washing the blankets that our dogs sleep on. Occasionally
I fill a spray bottle with water and about 20 drops of eucalyptus to spray
over the mattress ( a fine mist) to dry while linens are in the wash. Maria

(Bedbugs) My daughter has an egg crate on her bed to make it more cozy. She
was waking up with little bites on her legs. I put Oregano in a diffuser and
slowly ran it up and down her bed. That was over 5 months ago and I haven’t
had a problem since. Hope this helps, Carol

Eucalyptus Globulus kills bed bugs! Jessica Wild

I’d take a look at your bedroom, how old the pillows are, what detergent you
use, how often you wash the sheets, is there a draft by your head? And just
a fun little tid bit, apparently dust mites (that bother our allergies and
love our beds) prefer moist environments; so not making your bed keeps the
covers drier and minimizes dust mites! Take that mom! Good luck, Rachel

If your job requires you to travel a lot or when staying in hotels when you
go on vacation, please bring with you your Young Living Essential Oils! They
will deter & kill” them, this includes, bed mites, bed bugs, bacteria, etc.
Oils like: Thieves, Lemon, Purification, Melaleuca Alternafolia & Melrose
are just a few great ones that will help keep you healthy while you travel.

Oils which have anti-parasitic activity can help eliminate this type of
stuff, by spraying your bed sheets in the hotel lightly with the oils mixed
with water in a spritzer bottle, diffusing the oils in the room, wearing
them on you.

Also, taking them internally (Di-Gize, Lemon, Thieves) to protect yourself
from “hotel induced illness.” Gary Young does this when he stays in hotels,
when traveling. Please pass on & share.. Scary, what’s lurking in your
sheets, under your sheets, in the mattress when you travel! When you think
hotel linens & beds are clean, you may want to think twice & use your OILS
!! Blessings, Alicia~
